The Seven Covenants

Charity streak 10 — Next covenant at streak 3 — THE COVENANT OF NOAH

🌈 THE COVENANT OF NOAH · streak 3
The Keep can no longer be destroyed by a single blow. Once each wave, a killing stroke leaves it standing at one.
✨ THE COVENANT OF ABRAHAM · streak 7
Your fireteam is multiplied — the Tactical Templar now musters FOUR brothers instead of three.
📜 THE COVENANT OF MOSES · streak 12
The Law is given. Every tower you own strikes 25% harder, forever.
🕎 THE COVENANT OF PHINEHAS · streak 21
An everlasting priesthood. Chapels mend twice as fast, and the Keep knits 3% of itself after every wave.
👑 THE COVENANT OF DAVID · streak 33
The throne is established. +40% Keep HP, and the Keep repairs a further 5% after every wave.
🍷 THE NEW COVENANT · streak 50
The law is written inward. Charity yields double Faith, and every covenant tribute is doubled.
🕊 THE COVENANT OF PEACE · streak 77
Seventy times seven. Bar the gate and your streak is no longer broken to nothing — it is merely halved. You are forgiven.

"And I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit."
— Revelation 9:1

The seal broke somewhere east of the old temple road. Not with thunder — with a sound like a jar cracking in a cold room. And then the ground began to open, a little at a time, in the low places where no one was watching.

What comes out is not an army. Armies have banners and grievances. This has neither. It only spreads, the way rot spreads through good fruit, taking the fields and then the villages and then the names of the villages.

You are the wall

You are the last commandery of the Order — one keep, one banner, one lateral line of stone you extend outward with your own hands between assaults. Archers on the towers. Ballistae for the great ones. Fire for the swarms. And when the wall will not be enough, you speak the word over the clay and the Templar Golem stands up out of the earth to meet what came out of it.

The host of heaven

Every angel in scripture opens by saying "fear not," and there is a reason for that. These are drawn as Ezekiel and Isaiah actually described them — Ophanim, wheels within wheels with rings full of eyes; Cherubim, four faces and four wings with coals of fire going up and down between them; Seraphim, six wings, two of which exist only to cover the face. They are on your side. They are still awful to look at.

Angels are not bought. They are answered. Every soul you feed at the gate raises your Grace — an unbroken charity streak — and the host descends by that ladder: the Guardian of the Watch at 2, Michael at 3, and the Angel of the LORD at 5. Bar the gate once and the ladder is drawn up until you build it again.

The one in black plate

At wave six, and every sixth wave after, a knight in black rides out of the crack and does not draw. He offers. He quotes scripture, correctly, and he is wrong anyway — these are the three wilderness temptations of Matthew 4, and every one of them is a real trade you can take. Refusing costs you a hard fight; taking the deal costs you something you cannot buy back.

☠ The Bound One

Solomon is said to have set demons to hauling stone for the Temple. The Order kept the practice, badly. What you have on the chain is a grinning thing in a borrowed coat, a skull mask shoved up on its head — and it is the most dangerous thing you can put on the field. It ignores your ramparts entirely, runs the line, and takes foes apart faster than the Golem ever will.

The price is not gold. While it walks your wall, no angel will answer — heaven does not come to a gate with a demon behind it — and the thing eats your Faith the whole time it is out. Use it when the host is out of reach, or when you have already spent your Grace. Never use it because it is easy.

♪ The Bastion Radio

Eight original R3LL1K tracks ride along with the wall — Burn It Down Drag It Low, When The World Burns Black, Friendly Fire, Meat Face, Kick Check, Dank Spank, Jump That Shit, and Butterfly Catcher. Controls sit in the top bar; M plays and pauses, , and . change track, and the volume you set is remembered between visits. The music ducks itself whenever a soul comes to your gate, so you can hear the verse.

🎮 Xbox / gamepad

Plug a controller in and it takes over — the wall gets a gold targeting bracket you drive with the stick, and every dialog is navigable, so you never need the mouse.

The rule of the gate

Between every wave, someone will come to your gate who has nothing. The wall exists for them. That is the whole reason it exists. Feed them, and you will find the Order's strength was never really in the stone.
